Our waitlist is open year-round. The number of applicants on the waitlist is not an accurate measure of the wait for a home. Many factors play into being offered a home.
You'll first need to reference the income guidelines based on the location you are interested in. We've published the income maximum allowable based on the number of persons in the household. If your gross yearly household income is under, you may be income-eligible.
The program is most likely to appeal to persons who are pursuing homeownership but will be renting as they better position themselves to achieve their goal. We find that active participants will benefit greatly from our program.
Not in the traditional sense. The resident's rent does NOT go towards the purchase of a home. Our homes are required to remain a part of this homeownership incubator program for 15 years. During this time, residents receive educational resources to prepare them to own while maintaining rents affordable. Homes have different maturity dates so please inquire upon applying.
Not necessarily. We look at an application in its entirety and are more focused on debt to income ratios when we review credit reports.
Yes. We also point our residents towards resources that will allow them to gain independence of assistance and continue pursuing homeownership.
